22/5/2025 6:09
The Hong Kong Heritage Museum is currently holding the "Comic Fun for All - Humorous Hong Kong Comics" exhibition, bringing classic comic characters to the public for fun, organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Hong Kong Comics and Animation Association, and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Division.

The exhibition runs from now until March 9 next year, and admission is free. Through Hong Kong humorous comics-related manuscripts, comic books, themed products, art installations and multimedia projects, the exhibition presents the inspiration and artistic characteristics of local cartoonists to the audience, and revisits the important humorous comics works that have accompanied readers' growth from the 1950s to the present.

The exhibition has many "check-in spots" where visitors can take photos with 11 groups of humorous comic characters from different eras, including Old Master Q, Cowboy and Xiaoya Zhen. Visitors can also experience interactive exhibits such as comic funhouse mirrors and comic photo studios.

During the exhibition, the museum will hold a series of free special programmes, including lectures, film screenings, workshops, and demonstrations of the art of "face painting" which depicts the faces of people in the form of illustrations.
