Egyptian, Bahraini leaders discuss developments in Iran, Gaza

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa discussed on Saturday the latest regional developments, mainly in Iran and the Gaza Strip.
During a phone conversation, the two leaders expressed their grave concern over the ongoing escalation between Israel and Iran, the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement.
They warned of the potential expansion of the conflict and its serious consequences for all countries in the region, emphasizing the need for all parties to act responsibly and work towards resolving the ongoing crisis through negotiation and peaceful means.
The two sides stressed the importance for the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in this regard.
The two leaders reiterated that the ongoing escalation in the region is primarily linked to the continued Israeli "aggression" on the Gaza Strip, affirming the importance of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and warned of the humanitarian catastrophe facing it.

hey stressed the urgent need to deliver humanitarian aid to save the people of Gaza, and confirmed that the establishment of a Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital is the sole guarantee for regional stability.
