Taiwan defence report warns of increased threat from China

China is increasing the frequency of its military activities around Taiwan and developing new equipment to hone its abilities to attack, the island's defence ministry said in a report released on Thursday. China is using "hybrid warfare" to weaken people's trust in Taiwan's government and support for defence spending and has been using AI tools to scan weak points in Taiwan's critical infrastructure, the once-every-two-years report said.
