Support fund for residential complex fire totals 3.7 bln dollars

The total for the support fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, established by the Hong Kong government, has reached about 3.7 billion dollars as of noon on Sunday.



To ensure the residents affected by the major residential complex fire receive more comprehensive medical support, the Health department will launch free Chinese medicine consultation services starting today.



So far, 150 Chinese medicine practitioners have participated in the free consultation services, covering more than 170 service points.



As of Sunday morning, a total of 1,390 residents have been accommodated, through the coordination of the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, in youth hostels or hotel rooms.



Another 3,235 residents are currently living in transitional housing units provided by the Hong Kong Housing Society.
