Boat carrying migrants partially sinks in Greece, 25 missing

About 25 people were missing after a boat carrying migrants partially sank south of the Greek island of Gavdos on Sunday, coast guard said.



So far, 51 foreign nationals have been rescued by nearby vessels, while one foreign national has been found unconscious.



It said search efforts continued for the approximately 25 missing persons, as according to survivors there were 77 people on the boat.



Four nearby vessels and two European Union border agency Frontex boats were involved in the rescue while another Coast Guard vessel, a Frontex ship and a helicopter headed to the scene.
