Motorcyclist, 21, dies after Clear Water Bay crash
A 21-year-old motorcyclist died after his vehicle crashed into a stone barrier in Clear Water Bay early on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred around 12.44am when the motorcycle, heading towards Kowloon on Tai Au Mun Road, lost control on a left bend near Clear Water Bay First Beach and hit the left barrier. The motorcycle then slid about 15 metres before stopping..
The rider was found lying on the road unconscious. He was taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital but later died from his injuries.
The motorcycle was severely damaged, with the fuel tank and front forks scattered across the road, along with a large pool of blood and a helmet.
Tai Au Mun Road was temporarily closed in both directions.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
