A woman was injured in the eye due to a dispute over a spot to watch fireworks

A woman was hit in the eye at Wan Chai Pier last night because she was suspected of fighting for a spot to watch the fireworks. A 52-year-old woman was arrested.



The police arrived at the scene after receiving the report. After preliminary investigation, they believed that the 49-year-old female victim had an argument with another woman because of a dispute over a seat. She was then attacked by the other woman and her eyes were bleeding. The female victim was treated by the paramedics and was discharged. He was taken to Ruttonjee Hospital for treatment.



Police officers arrested the 52-year-old woman on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and took her back to the police station for investigation.
